Meatloaf Grilled Cheese



For the Meatloaf:

• 1 pound ground beef

• 1 cup breadcrumbs

• 1/2 cup milk

• 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

• 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1/4 cup ketchup


• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

• 1 teaspoon dried oregano

• Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Grilled Cheese:

• Sliced bread

• Butter, softened


• Sliced cheddar cheese

• Sliced mozzarella cheese




For the Meatloaf:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a bowl, I combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

3. I mix until well combined.


4. I transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.

5. I bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through.

For the Grilled Cheese:

1. Once the meatloaf is cooked, I let it cool slightly, then slice it into 1/2-inch thick slices.

2. I butter one side of each slice of bread.

3. On the non-buttered side, I place a slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of meatloaf, and a slice of mozzarella cheese.

4. I top it with another slice of bread, buttered side facing out.


5. I heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich on both sides until the bread is golden brown, and the cheese is melted.
