Ingredients
1 large sourdough bread bowl
1/2 lb cooked shrimp, chopped
1/2 lb lump crab meat
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Hollow out the bread bowl, leaving a sturdy shell. Set aside the removed bread pieces for dipping.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, green onions, garlic, Old Bay, smoked paprika, and lemon juice.
Gently fold in the shrimp and crab meat.
Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl, ensuring it is evenly packed.
Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until the filling is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Garnish with extra green onions and serve warm with reserved bread pieces, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
For extra crispness, pre-toast the bread bowl before filling.
Use gluten-free bread for a gluten-free option.
Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy twist.
