Strawberry Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Ingredients:


– 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
– 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup whole milk
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– Pinch of salt
Instructions:


1. In a saucepan, combine the strawberries, vanilla bean seeds, and pod, heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture begins to steam, stirring occasionally.
2. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes.
3. Remove the vanilla bean pod and discard.
4. Blend the mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender.
5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
6. Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Transfer the churned ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
8. Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy the creamy strawberry vanilla bean goodness!
