Spicy Garlic Butter Prawns

Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) large prawns or shrimp, shell-on and deveined
3 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red chili flakes (adjust for spice preference)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions:

Prepare the Prawns:

Rinse the prawns under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Season with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Cook the Prawns:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the prawns to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn bright orange and are slightly charred. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.
Once melted, add the minced garlic and chili flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Stir in the lemon juice and parsley.
Combine and Garnish:

Return the cooked prawns to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly.
Cook for an additional minute to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve:

Transfer the prawns to a serving dish and drizzle with any remaining sauce from the skillet.
Garnish with extra parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Tips:
Perfect Pairing: Serve with crusty bread, steamed rice, or pasta to soak up the sauce.
Add More Spice: Use fresh sliced chili peppers or a dash of cayenne for an extra kick.
Optional Additions: Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for a more complex flavor.
This quick and flavorful dish is perfect for a seafood lover’s dinner or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer. Enjoy!
