Ingredients:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup lime juice
1 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1.Season and Dredge the Shrimp:
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
Dredge the shrimp in the all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
2.Sauté the Shrimp:
Heat 1/4 cup olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until cooked through and slightly golden.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
3.Cook the Aromatics:
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
4.Add the Liquids:
Stir in the white wine and chicken broth.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce by half.
5.Make the Lime Sauce:
Stir in the fresh parsley, lime juice, and butter.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
6.Return the Shrimp:
Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet.
Cook for 1 minute until the shrimp are heated through and well-coated with the sauce.
7.Serve:
Serve the shrimp piccata with the lime sauce over pasta, rice, or your favorite side dish.
