  • ½ head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water
  • Cooked white rice (for serving)

Step 1: Brown the sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage slices until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté vegetables
In the same skillet, add olive oil or butter. Add the onion, bell pepper, cabbage, and carrots. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
