Sausage Hashbrown Casserole

Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage (any variety you like)

1 medium onion, diced

1 (30 oz) bag frozen hash browns (thawed)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika (optional)

1 cup shredded cheese (for topping, optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook Sausage: In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Add the diced onion and cook until the onion is soft. Drain excess grease.

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cooked sausage and onion mixture, 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.

Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish. Spread it evenly.

Add Topping: If desired, sprinkle an additional cup of shredded cheese on top.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
