Unearthed from the pages of my Grandma’s cherished recipe book, this pancake recipe is a testament to timeless flavors and family traditions. The well-worn recipe card speaks volumes about its place as a beloved staple in our family gatherings.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ cups Milk
- 1 Egg
- 3 tablespoons Butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
- 3 ½ teaspoons Baking powder
- 1 tablespoon White sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Salt (adjust to taste)
Method:
Begin by sifting together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, white sugar, and salt in a spacious bowl. Create a well in the midst of the dry ingredients and introduce the milk, melted butter, and egg. Combine these elements until a smooth batter forms.
Proceed to heat a griddle or pan, lightly greased, over a medium-high flame. Dispense approximately 1/4 cup of the batter onto the heated surface, cooking until bubbles surface and the periphery turns dry, which should take around 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the pancake and allow the other side to attain a golden-brown hue. Continue this process with the remaining batter.
Editorial Note:
In response to feedback, the quantity of salt has been judiciously revised from the original 1 teaspoon.
