•2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

•1 tsp salt

•1 tbsp sugar

•1 tbsp instant yeast

•1 cup warm water (around 110°F/45°C)

•1 tbsp olive oil (plus a little extra for the pan)

Instructions:

1.Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until the dough comes together.

2.Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

3.Let it Rise: Form the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

4.Shape the Bread: Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Cover it again and let it rest for 10 minutes.

5.Preheat the Pan: Place a heavy-bottomed pan or pot with a lid (like a Dutch oven or cast-iron skillet) on the stove over medium heat. Let it preheat for about 5 minutes.

6.Cook the Bread: Grease the preheated pan lightly with a bit of olive oil, then place the dough into the pan. Cover with the lid and cook on low to medium heat for about 15 minutes.

7.Flip and Cook: Carefully flip the bread over and cook for another 10-15 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
