Ingredients:
For the Wings:
– 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
– 1 tbsp baking powder
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Honey Lemon Pepper Sauce:
– 1/4 cup honey
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 1 tsp lemon zest
– 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Arrange the wings on the prepared rack in a single layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
While the wings bake, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the honey, melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed and warmed through.
Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey lemon pepper sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly. Serve hot and enjoy!
