Looking for a dessert to make this Sunday that will win over your family? Even if they’re not fans of homemade baking, there’s a good chance they’ll love this easy and delicious Homemade Kentucky Blackberry Cobbler.
Imagine a warm summer evening, enjoying this cobbler with some cream and a refreshing mint julep. This dessert brings back memories for me, especially of picking fresh blackberries. Those blackberries are like little treasures, and picking them myself makes the whole experience of eating them even more special.
I’ll never forget one particular berry picking adventure, even though it was the day I got stung by a bee for the first time! Thankfully, it all turned out okay, and we went home with plenty of berries. We had so many that we froze them with a bit of sugar to enjoy later. I couldn’t resist sneaking some out of the freezer for a quick, cold treat now and then.
This cobbler is best enjoyed warm or at room temperature, maybe with some warm cream or a dollop of fresh whipped cream. It’ll keep fine covered at room temperature for a couple of days, and even longer in the fridge, but it’s so tasty it probably won’t last that long!
