1 packet taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup diced onions (optional)

8 taco shells (hard or soft)
1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
1/4 cup salsa or hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Beef Filling
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and diced onions, if using.
Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens and the beef is coated.
Step 2: Prepare the Taco Shells
Warm the taco shells according to package instructions, either in the oven or microwave.
Step 3: Assemble the Tacos
Spoon the beef mixture into each taco shell, filling about halfway.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top of the beef while it’s still warm to melt the cheese.
Add your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa.
